They are suitable for permanent incorporation into
buildings and other civil engineering works as they
meet the essential health and safety requirements of
the Construction Products Regulation (EU 305/2011).
They can be used for:
- connections of apparatus of fixed automatic fire
detection and manual fire alarm systems, whether
or not connected to extinguishing systems or other
protection system (both active and passive type),
intended to be installed in buildings, regardless of
the intended use.
- protected fixed installation in surface-mounted or
recessed ducts or similar closed systems.
- to be laid in the same conduit with circuits of
electrical systems with nominal voltage to earth up
to 400 V, typically 230/400 V power systems. This
characteristic is guaranteed by the marking on the
cable U0 = 400 V
They are not suitable for
- other uses such as emergency lighting, supplying
power to forced smoke and heat evacuation systems,
electric locks or emergency controls or other similar
applications with operating voltages above 100 V
a.c. for which cables complying with Standards CEI
20-45 must be used.
- applications other than those envisaged by Standards
UNI 9795 (e.g. road tunnels)
